Glass Flake Coating

Glass Flake Coatings are suitable for pipeline internal and tank internal coatings as well as for pump / rotatory equipment’s refurbishment. These offer solutions to replaced exotic metals such as Hast alloy / S.S 316 L etc. with Coated M.S. vessels / equipment’s, resulting in excellent service life and most importantly savings for the user.
The key Features of these products as under:

Impermeability : Multitude of overlapping layers of screened Glass Flake particles in parallel orientation form a highly impermeable surface, a minimum of 500-700 microns DFT.

Corrosion : The coating provides a solid barrier against the attack of corrosive ions over a pH range of    1 to 14.

Abrasion : With a minimum barcol hardness of 42 and a thermal coefficient of expansion similar to that of the substrate, the coating with stands mechanical without any undercutting.

Erosion : The coatings have excellent resistance to erosion, hence extending service life substantially.

Adhesion : Superior adhesion is achieved by the surface tension effect of our Coating Systems and screened particles of Glass Flake.The coating does not generally delaminate, peel or blister if the metal flexes within its elastic limits...

Electrolysis : Galvanic corrosion is minimized by the superior dielectric strength of these coating.

Machining : Rotary components of Pumps, valves and impellers, etc., can be machined with conventional metal tools.

Repair : In case of accidental damage / touch up requirements, the existing coating can be easily repaired at site and the recoating forms part of the original coating.
